It is also very clear in the Scriptures, that it is the will of God that we experience His "Rest" and "The Peace" that comes with His "Rest". Through His Word it is clearly revealed that true repose and tranquility can only be found by "Resting" in Our God, for he is the only true and living God of Abraham, Isaac, Israel and Judah AND besides Him there is no other God. PSALMS 116:7 KJV RETURN UNTO THY "REST" O MY SOUL; FOR THE LORD HAS DEALT BOUNTIFULLY WITH THEE. To return is to repent and to repent is to return. Return unto thy "Rest". Repent unto thy "Rest".
PSALMS 116:7 KJV RETURN UNTO THY REST O MY SOUL; FOR THE LORD HAS DEALT BOUNTIFULLY WITH THEE. In order to "Return unto thy "Rest O My Soul", genuine inner repentance, must take place. One can be distracted from "Resting" in the Lord by good things or negative things in daily life, thoughts, emotions that come in because we are missing daily time with the Lord in worship. Anything that distracts us from time with God must be removed or changed. Understand that, through these distractions, entrance is given to fear, doubt, unbelief, anxiety, worry, frustrations, annoyances, irritations, anger, rage, stress, sorrows, etc. When any one or more of these things is present in a person's mind or heart there can be no "Rest" in that person's soul. It also means there are 2 missing pieces in that person's life: 1) they are missing a life of daily gratitude thanksgiving, praise and worship to God because He has been good to thee and dealt bountifully with thee Psalms 116:7 AND.......
ISAIAH 14:3 KJV AND it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee "Rest", from thy sorrow, and from thy fear and from the hard bondage wherein thou has been made to serve. We have been the servants of sin which caused us to go into fear and hard bondages and oppressions. But we have victory thru Jesus....Yeshua Our Messiah, Our Saviour, Our Healer, Our Deliverer. It is a wonderful victory to "Rest" from sorrow and fear. Did you know fear, doubt, unbelief, worry, anxiety, and sorrow all go hand in hand and they are all sins, therefore, they are weights, burdens and bondages of sin. It's a marvelous victory to "Rest" from weights, burdens of sin, oppressions that come from walking in fear, the hard bondages of the sins of fear, doubt, unbelief and all the
ISAIAH 30:15 KJV FOR THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL: In "Returning" and "Rest" shall ye be saved; In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength; but ye would not. Repentance is Returning and Returning is Repentance. Repentance is not just saying I'm sorry. Repentance means one has thought about everything completely and has experienced a change of heart and a change of mind about things and WANTS A REAL CHANGE AND A REAL TRANSFORMATION to be made manifest in their life and within their heart mind and soul. Real repentance brings saving grace with immediate change and transformation in a person.
Be Blessed as you study this teaching to enter into His Presence and "REST" IN THE LORD. Maybe you already know these things. Scripture says to keep them in remembrance least they forget and loose their "Rest" in the Lord.
ISAIAH 46:10 BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. You can only be still and know that I am God when you are "Resting" in God. When you are'nt "Resting" in God and in His "Peace" " you will truly feel weary with the weights, burdens, oppressions, and bondages of this life that cause fear, doubt, unbelief and anxiety...AND life can sometimes be truly unbearable because of these things and especially if you are without Yeshua (Jesus).
